118 miles, 2 hours drive from Guildford and we arrived at Coventry.. the trip made specially to see the place where apak n mama studied, got married and gave birth to us.
It was a cold place..and the neighbourhood people looked friendly enough. not a white man in sight..all Pakistan/middle eastern population. The houses are built very close to each other...and I could imagine the whole street vibrating when kinah cries.
me?nahh.. i never cried. i was an angelic baby. or so i heard.. hehe

kampong nelayan a.k.a Scot's Vampire city, Whitby

Another famous spot on Scot's east coast, the place where the vampires held their annual general meeting and sucks each other's, and ev'one elses's blood for fun.
Also where Captain James Cook was apprenticed and starts his legendary voyages. whatever. In this place where seafood is abundance... once u sank yr teeth in that unforgettable fresh fish and chips..Cap'n James could be sucked dry by a vampire for all I care.

Alnwick Castle, Scotland
|

Another hour's drive up north and we found Alnwick's castle, the residence of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland..also the place where they shoot those Quidditch pitches in Harry Potter.
Vast ground around the castle, with the usual Scots scenes, sheeps, grasses and..sheeps.
Thankfully.. no men prancing around in skirts this time..maybe they only came out in winter.

Whitley Bay,Scotland

Another trip up north.. just cause the south is now unbearably hot.
Whitley Bay, on the north-east stretch of Scot waters, is about 6 hours drive from Guildford. it's just a pit stop before reaching our final destination, the Hogwarts Castle.
Endless white sands and breathtaking sceneries.. u gotta give it to Scotland.. I think it's the only place worth visiting in the UK.

France Alps, les deux alpes

it was in remote grenoble, and we went up to 3669m above sea level..(no, not for the chocolate  ) to play with the snow that we didn't get back in Guildford..to have that one time ski experience.. and this is our last journey (i think) for the last winter in this lifetime..well, mine anyway.
and i'd say..this will be the last time any of us go to France. stupid airport customs and officials..we were hold back for hours..inspecting ev'ly lining of our clothes, our shoes, our stuffs..all the while mumbling french nonsenses. ramai sangat orang yg muke mcm militant dlm group trip kali ni.
despite that and the bruises (dah tua2 ni la nak lebam2 huhu) it was the best 7 days for all of us.. even for the tok imam.
